How to find?              
Geitaskarð is by road no. 1
 
From Borgarnes: as you leave village Borgarnes, direction Akureyri on road no. 1 then you come to a traffic circle. Take the exit into road no. 1 in direction of Akureyri. You need to drive for about 156 km on road no. 1 (passing the heath Holtavörðuheiði and the village Blönduós) before you come to farm Geitaskarð on your left (10 km after passing the village Blönduós).
 
From Akureyri: you leave Akureyri on road no. 1, direction Reykjavík. Stay on road no. 1 for about 135 km (passing through the village Varmahlíð) before you come to farm Geitaskarð on your right (10 km before arriving in village Blönduós).
