From Varmahlíð: Leave Varmahlíð heading to Akureyri on road no. 1.  After about 55 km (passing over Öxnardalsheiði heath) you find Engimýri on your right.
 
From Akureyri: Leave Akureyri on road no. 1, heading for Varmahlíð.  After about 30 km  you find Engimýri on your left.
