Hestheimar horse farm offers accommodation in a cosy guesthouse, ideal for those who would like to get to know the Icelandic horse. In the main building there are 6 double rooms with private bathroom and access to a hot pot. In another building are 4 double rooms - 2 with private bathroom and 2 with shared bathroom - hot pot and cooking facilities. Also two small cottages, as ideal family rooms with private bathroom, kitchen facilities and veranda with a beautiful view.
A cosy barn loft for maximum 18 people in sleeping bags with a fully equipped kitchen and good bathroom and washing facilites. Full board available, all cakes and bread homebaked. Spacious dining hall, which seats up to 180 people, opens out into a riding hall. Ideal for special events such as horse shows, dining, dancing, e.g. line dancing, incentive activities and singing.
Horse rental is open all year; various, beautiful riding paths in the area. Longer riding tours available in the summertime, from 1-day- to 8-day-tours in Iceland's beautiful countryside. Horse sale, always a great selection of horses. One week riding clinic available for 8-12 years old children during summer, full board and accommodation included. Farm stay; guests can stay at the farm, experience the farm life and take part in the daily farm activities with the family. Horse shows for groups with coffee buffet or country style barbeque. Weekend riding clinic for 4-12 riders, tailormade for each group. Incentive tours for groups; country games and teambuilding activities, dining included.

From Hella: Leave Hella heading to Selfoss road no. 1. Stay on for 9 km. Turn right into road no. 281. Stay on for around 3 km where you will find the farm Hestheimar.
